Marston's Success Story
Marston’s partnered with Osprey as part of their goal to become the UK’s most environmentally friendly pub business, recognising that transport is a major factor in clean air and climate change. The partnership gives Marston’s customers the convenience of charging whilst they stop to eat, meet or take a break from their journey.

Osprey assessed the Marston’s portfolio across the UK with our proprietary Site Selection Process, identifying 200 suitably located Marston’s properties for rapid charging infrastructure. Having assessed the portfolio, Osprey worked with Marston’s to create a repeatable commercial and lease structure to ensure smooth rollout. Osprey undertook all grid investigations and secured enough to provide an optimum two charger layout across the portfolio. High performing sites are currently being upgraded with more and newer charge points to keep up with increasing demand.
On Marston’s request, Osprey retained a standard unit branding incorporating Marston’s emblem.
The partnership has begun assessment on the second tranche of Marston’s sites, focusing on installing hub sites in regions of high EV uptake and areas with local EV policy initiatives, across both the restaurant and hotel portfolio. In August 2020 the first hub in the Marston's portfolio was launched, adding 8x 150kW chargers to the existing 2x 50kW chargers at the Paisley Pear in Brackley.
