Osprey appoints CEO
The Osprey Charging board are delighted to announce the appointment of Ian Johnston as CEO of Osprey Charging. Ian’s appointment signals a new period of growth for the business, which has recently secured significant capital investment from Investec that will enable the roll out of 1500 rapid charge points across the UK.
Ian brings impressive experience to the senior management team, from both the renewable energy and automotive industries. He joins Osprey Charging from Temporis Developments, where he was Head of Operations and then Chief Operating Officer for over seven years, responsible for the delivery of the UK’s largest portfolio of Feed-in Tariff wind farm projects.
Prior to Temporis, Ian was Retail Operations Manager for Volkswagen for four years, responsible for managing the performance, development and franchise relationship of 14 franchised Volkswagen retailers. Ian has also been a board director for RenewableUK for two years, a leading not-for-profit renewable energy trade association.
Ian will be focussed on leading the Osprey Charging team to build strong partnerships with private and public landlords nationwide, to install a fully funded rapid electric vehicle charging network in carparks where EV drivers need and will use it most.
“
We are excited to have Ian on board as the company sets out to take a significant share of the rapid charging market. Ian’s breadth of experience is perfectly matched to the large scale programme ahead and the leadership that entails, which is why I’m very much looking forward to working with him.
