Achieving Sustainability Goals.
Through the long-term partnership between Marston's and Osprey, one of the largest EV rapid charging networks in the UK hospitality industry has been developed. The partnership has greatly supported Marston's sustainability strategy which is focused on reducing its carbon footprint and promoting a greener future, additionally this includes an ambition to achieve Net Zero by 2040.
The EV chargers are powered by electricity that is solely produced from renewable energy sources, as a result Marston's have saved over 18,700 tonnes of CO₂ in total since 2018.
The leading site, the Paisley Pear pub in Brackley, has charged almost a million kWh of electricity since opening in 2022; enough to power the average home in the UK for 85 years. Soon, the largest charging hub with Marston's to date with 16 charging points will open at the Manor Farm in Rainhill.
